The Parker Company owns and operates two companies specializing in Italian vacation rental properties that are designed to meet
the needs of American travelers: Parker Villas, just outside of Boston, MA and Parker Italia, in Genova, Italy.
Founded in 1993, Parker has been favorably featured on CNN, NBC Today, PBS, The View and a host of major publications throughout the country.
Parker was the first US rental company to meet the strict ethical guidelines for transacting overseas property issued by the London based,
National Association of Estate Agents, NAEA. Other affiliations include being a founding member of the Italian Travel Promotion Council (ITPC),
an association sanctioned by the Italian Government with the goal of promoting Italy, and a long standing, stellar record with the Better Business Bureau.

Sites offering many hundreds or even thousands of villas work a numbers game. Whether they sell one or two weeks in a property means
very little; hence, they have no real relationship with the owner and no real protection for the consumer in the event something may go
wrong. Parker is not a huge company nor do we want to be – our goal is to continuously strive to be the best by setting standards in the
rental industry. For us, it is not about how many homes or countries offered, it's about the number of satisfied customers who return each year.
With client satisfaction consistently measuring above 99%, Parker enjoys the industry's highest reputation. Very few companies in our business
invest in staffing an overseas office of their own; however, we established Parker Italia to provide our guests with seamless customer service
while overseas.

Don't be surprised that we ask lots of questions and prefer to speak with you by phone. We ask not only about the home and your guests
but about your entire trip from start to finish. In addition to renting you a home that meets your needs, Parker can also arrange for
hotel reservations, car rental, short-stay cooking schools and half day excursions. Our unsurpassed attention to detail, our knowledge

About our founder
Mario Scalzi is a born and bred Bostonian who schooled in Italy as a child and is fully bilingual Italian/English.
He has traveled across Europe extensively, been to Italy over 300 times, bought and sold foreign property, met with owners, inspected homes,
established Parker's Italian office and conducted promotional seminars on behalf of the Italian government and individual regions of Italy.
In his teens, Mario hosted a daily Italian language radio program in Boston. In his twenties, he owned a newspaper and later went on to manage
sales organizations spanning from financial services to Fortune 50 high tech consultancies. During his management career, Mario realized that making
his own international travel arrangements for his sales staff led to greater efficiency and profitability. In 1993, he founded The Parker Company on
a simple premise: "I may not know much about the travel industry, but I do know how to travel and how I like to be treated when traveling."
