Shopping and Dining: A restaurant serving seafood and pizza is 50 yards from the entrance gate. Within 300 yards is a 13th century, Norman tower converted into a restaurant/pizzeria with a bar frequented by the locals for sunset cocktails. A variety of shopping and dining options may be found half a mile away in the town of Maiori. The 4-star hotel, whose pool may be used by the guests renting Tango, has a superb restaurant and offers a 10% discount to Parker guests.
Not To Be Missed:
- In Maiori, the 12th century majolica dome of the church of Santa Maria a Mare dominates the town and features a small yet fascinating museum dedicated to European religious arts spanning the Middle Ages. Closed Mondays.
- In Minori, the archaeological site, Villa Romana Antiquarium houses frescoes, mosaic tiled floors and the ancient sauna of a 1st century Roman villa. A small museum houses the artifacts from the excavation including coins and pottery.
- In Ravello, the 11th century ruins of Villa Rufolo with an exquisite botanical garden that inspired the composer, Wagner. From June through September, there are scheduled music performances as part of Ravello's annual Music Festival.
Public Transportation: Within 50 yards is a bus stop on the Salerno to Amalfi line with service to Maiori and Minori. Buses run every half hour and hourly after 5 pm. It takes 25 minutes to reach Amalfi. In Amalfi, a change is required to reach Ravello or west toward Grotta Smeraldo, Praiano, Positano and Sorrento. From Amalfi, service runs almost hourly with more buses during the weekday commuter hours. By bus, it takes 1.5 hours to reach Positano and 2.5 hours to reach Sorrento. The last buses return from Positano and Sorrento around 11 pm.
Seasonal Ferry Service: Amalfi, a 15 minute drive away, operates water ferries starting in June to Positano (ends Oct 31) and to Capri (ends Sept 30). There are 3-4 trips in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. The ferry to Positano takes 25 minutes and the last returning ferry from Positano is around 6:30 pm. The hydrofoil to Capri takes 50 minutes and the last one returning from Capri is 7 pm. The closest port with year round service is Sorrento.
Beaches: From the property, 95 stone steps lead down to the Salicerchie cove with a small pebbly beach with both a free section and a pay-per-use beach club that opens from mid-June to mid-September. Maiori, within a three minute drive and Minori, a 5 minute drive, both have larger, pay-per-use beaches.
Open Air Markets: In Ravello's Piazza Duomo on Tuesday mornings, in Amalfi on Wednesdays and in Maiori on Fridays.

In Maiori:
- August 15 finds the night sky ablaze with fireworks in celebration of the town's patron saint.
In Amalfi:
- June 27 is the feast of St. Andrea with a procession leading to the sea and fireworks.
- August 31 is Capodanno Bizantino (Byzantine New Years) with medieval re-enactments, parades, competitions, pageantry.
In Ravello:
- July 26 & 27 is the feast of St. Anna & St. Pantaleone with food stands, an outdoor concert and fireworks from Piazza Duomo.
- September 19 is the Torello Festival (a section of Ravello) with fireworks.
In Praiano:
- August 1-4 is the feast of San Domenico with a Lumnaria competition during which all the town's buildings are decorated with lights.
