Tuscan Rental Cottage
Does living on a small, family run farm with incredibly kind owners, found just off of Montepulciano's fabulous wine road where vintners sell their elixirs to the public, sound like music to your ears? You may also love having this experience at a very affordable price.
This Tuscan homestead produces fine wine and extra virgin olive oil that may be purchased onsite. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the vegetable garden along with plum, peach and apple trees planted just for our guests. Based on the owner's schedule, a viewing of the vineyard's production area may be arranged. If your stay coincides with the fall grape harvest and you'd like to participate, let the owner know. He'll happily arrange for an afternoon of grape picking.
Musica d'Amore offers four unassuming units within close proximity to each other making it ideal for close family and friends to rent the entire estate for up to 10 adults and 4 small children. The level below Cottage Soprano is a large community dining room equipped with a fireplace, stove top, oven, sink, dishwasher and half bath. This room is opened when a guest rents all four units and it's then used as the main dining room. Gathering around the square dining table with plenty of space for all makes for a fun-filled evening sharing the tales of the day's adventures.
The casa building houses two apartments, a shared laundry room with a washing machine and a small reception office, open most days from 9 am to noon and from 4 to 6 pm. Guests are welcome to use the office's fax. For those bringing a laptop, the apartments have Wi-Fi.
Each unit has its own small outdoor area. Cottage Tenore is a small bungalow set in the middle of the complex. It is bordered by the Casa building, Cottage Soprano and the parking area. The best views overlooking the vines are enjoyed from the pool area. Furnished in a simple country style, all units are equipped with satellite television and screened windows. Maid service may be requested when booking. Within 500 walkable yards is the small town of Sant' Albino with a café that sells amazing pastry, an ATM and a small grocery shop. Montepulciano with its history, shops and most of all, its wines is within an easy five minute drive, and the entrance to the A1 autostrada is 10 minutes away.
The hill town of Chiusi is honeycombed with Etruscan tunnels and is within a 15 minute drive. The town is a stop along the main rail line that whisks you to Rome in 75 minutes and offers express trains to Florence in an hour.
