Just under a mile from the convenient, small Tuscan town of Sinalunga, Villa Puccini boasts a key location for exploring large portions of Tuscany. A 10 minute drive on easy paved roads leads to two main highways intersecting the depth and breadth of Tuscany and extending into Umbria and beyond.

Villa Puccini, once a nobleman's home, offers two tasteful apartments, five bedrooms for rent, an impressive shared swimming pool and a casual, seasonal restaurant that opens for dinner. Along with the pool, all guests share use of: a barbecue pit, a large terrace with panoramic country views and a washing machine.

Guests are presented with an electronic key to enter the villa's main lobby with a sitting room and a PC for guest use. All accommodations are located off of this lobby, and Tosca has a second entrance from the grounds.

Tosca and Turandot, set on different floors at opposite ends of the villa, enjoy their own private, furnished outdoor areas. Both have screened bedroom windows and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer for each bedroom. Rental prices include a mid-week, two hour cleaning with a towel change and Wi-Fi for those bringing a laptop. At the time of booking, additional cleaning services and a buffet breakfast served in the lobby may be ordered.

Perfectly suited for three couples, Tosca is the largest of Villa Puccini's apartments. It has a separate outside entrance that faces the estate's shared panoramic viewing terrace and a large, shady lawn area to the rear of the villa is reserved for the private use of Tosca guests. Richly decorated with regal antiques, Tosca's interiors occupy two floors and feature exquisite ceiling frescoes from the early 1800s in some rooms, a country themed dining room with an open hearth fireplace and 12 foot high ceilings adding spaciousness to its tasteful ambiance.

Sinalunga, a mile away, offers several necessities including: three supermarkets, ATMs, a butcher, cafes, a few restaurants/pizzeria, a fruit store and few small shops. A 10 minute drive leads to the quaint medieval villages of Trequanda and Lucignano and the entrance to the east/west superstrada linking Siena to Perugia. One exit along this road is the intersection to Italy's main north/south highway: the A1 autostrada, traversing all of Tuscany and beyond. The hill town and wineries of Montepulciano are 25 minutes away; the cheese farms of Pienza, the ancient lanes of Cortona, Arezzo's magnificent historic center seen in the film "Life is Beautiful" or the shores of Lake Trasimeno are 30 minute jaunts; Siena: 45; Perugia or Orvieto: 50; Florence, Assisi or Castellina in Chianti: 60; San Gimignano: 80; Pisa, Lucca or Rome: 2 hours.
