In the countryside, a few miles past Perugia and on the way to Assisi, is a 16th-century estate made up of three buildings. Originally, friars from the order of Santa Maria Nuova lived and farmed here. Later it came into the possession of the Bonucci family, who bore three daughters. As part of their dowry, each was given one building.

The current owner bought and restored the three buildings several years ago. On Saturdays and Sundays, the large main villa where she lives may be rented for weddings and parties. During the summer, these receptions can be held outside on the grounds. Guests in either apartment are welcome to watch the festivities.

Both units have air conditioning, window screens and Wi-Fi access for those bringing a laptop. Gervasia is a ground level cottage. Isadora is a first floor apartment in another building; the owner's daughter lives on the ground floor below. If both Gervasia and Isadora are rented to the same party, all eight can dine in the large kitchen of Isadora. The shared outdoor area has a barbecue. A maid or a weekday cook for lunch or dinner are available if reserved at the time of booking.

Ponte Valleceppi, within a few minutes by car, has a supermarket, a restaurant and some shops. A 15 minute drive leads to the charming town of Torgiano with five restaurants, an olive oil museum and an impressive wine museum supported by the Lungarotti winery. The center of Perugia or the hill town of Assisi in the opposite direction are both within 20 minutes or less. Deruta, the Umbrian capital of ceramic arts is 30 minutes away; Spello or Gubbio: 35; Cortona, Tuscany's highest hill town: 40; Todi: 45; Montepulciano or Spoleto: 60; Siena or Orvieto: 90; Florence: 100; Rome: 2 hours.
