Ostra is a small town in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. It is just over an hour and a half from Florence and is home to just over 30,000 people. Ostra is known for its beautiful architecture and the town has a medieval centre with a number of well-preserved buildings.

The town’s main attraction is the Castle of Ostra, which has been in use since the 11th century. It is one of the most important castles in the entire region and was designed by order of Emperor Frederick II.
